Commencement
- Section 27(1) provides for section 21 (terrorism reinsurance), the general provisions in sections 23(2) to (7), 26, 27 and 28 (consequential amendments, extent, commencement and short title) and paragraph 19 of Schedule 4 to come into force on Royal Assent.
- Section 27(3) provides for the following provisions to come into force two months after Royal Assent:
- Sections 1 to 6 (terrorist offences);
- Sections 7 to 14 and Schedule 1 (punishment and management of terrorist offenders);
- Section 15 (traffic regulation);
- Section 20 (persons vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism);
- Sections 23 and 24, Parts 1, 2 and 4 of Schedule 4 and paragraph 27 of Part 3 of Schedule 4 (transitional provisions and minor and consequential amendments).
- The remaining provisions will be brought into force by commencement regulations made by the Secretary of State (Section 27(2)).
