This Act has a UK extent and required a Legislative Consent Motion from the Scottish Parliament on the basis that it contains provisions applying to Scotland which alter the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament and the executive competence of the Scottish Ministers. A Legislative Consent Motion, sponsored by the Scottish Government, was passed by the Scottish Parliament on 16 March 2016.
