This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
(1)This Act may be cited as the Rights of Way Act 1990.
(2)This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of one month beginning with the day on which it is passed.
(3)Nothing in this Act shall affect the application of sections 134 and 135 of the [1980 c. 66.] Highways Act 1980 in relation to any ploughing of a footpath or bridleway begun before the commencement of this Act.
(4)Section 61 of the [1981 c. 69.] Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and section 21 of the [1986 c. 49.] Agriculture Act 1986 (which amend sections 134 and 135 of the Highways Act 1980) are hereby repealed.
(5)In paragraph 25 of Schedule 4 to the [1985 c. 51.] Local Government Act 1985, the words “134(7) and (10)(a),” are hereby repealed.
(6)This Act extends to England and Wales only.
