6 (1) For the purposes of Schedule 3 to the [1963 c. 2.] Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 the licensing authorities in Greater London shall be the London borough councils and the Common Council instead of the Greater London Council and accordingly in that Schedule—

(a) in paragraph 1 the words "elsewhere than in Greater London " shall be omitted ;

(b) in paragraphs 5(2)(a)(i) and 6(2)(b) the words "or London borough " shall be omitted ;

(c) in paragraphs 5(2)(a)(ii) and 6(2)(a) after " 1962 " there shall be inserted the words " (not being the licensing authority)" ; and

(d) in paragraph 6(2)(c) for the words " any district or London borough in which the track or any part thereof is situated " there shall be substituted the words " the area of the licensing authority" .

(2) In this paragraph the reference to the Greater London Council includes a reference to any committee to which the Council have delegated their functions in pursuance of section 53(1) of the [1963 c. 33.] London Government Act 1963.
