The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2015 and comes into force on 1st July 2015.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 10 of the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 (application of vulnerable witnesses provisions to proceedings in the district court) is 1st July 2015.

This Order brings into force section 10 of the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 (“the Act”) on 1st July 2015 (article 2).
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 14th April 2004.
