The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 116(1) of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2014 and comes into force on 1st January 2015.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011(2).
2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), 1st January 2015 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in column (1) of the Schedule (the subject matter of which is specified in column (2)).
(2) Where a purpose is specified in column (3) of the Schedule in relation to any provision, that provision comes into force in accordance with paragraph (1) for that purpose only.

This Order brings into force on 1st January 2015 the provisions of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the Act”) listed in the Schedule, for all purposes except where otherwise specified.
In particular, these provisions bring into force various powers to make orders and regulations.
Sections 1, 2, 3, 7 and 114 to 116 of the Act came into force on 13th April 2011 in accordance with section 2 of the Interpretation and Legislative Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 (asp 10).
Sections 82 to 84, 86, 87, 89 and 90 of, and schedule 1 to, the Act were relevantly amended by the Regulatory Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 (asp 3), schedule 3, paragraph 13; sections 78 to 81 of the Act were repealed by the same paragraph.
