Present,
the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 26(2) of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 2002(1) and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 2002 (Transitory and Transitional Provisions) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 23rd October 2002.
2. Audit Scotland shall, on behalf of the Ombudsman, pay any reasonable expenses incurred by the Ombudsman in the exercise of the functions of the Ombudsman which it may be requested by the Ombudsman to pay.
3. Audit Scotland shall, after consultation with the Ombudsman, make such arrangements as it may consider to be required for the provision of offices and other accommodation in connection with the discharge of the Ombudsman’s functions.
4. This Order, unless previously revoked by Her Majesty by Order in Council, shall cease to have effect on 31st December 2003.

This Order makes transitory and transitional provisions in relation to the payment of the expenses of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman and in relation to the provision of accommodation for the Ombudsman.
Article 2 provides that Audit Scotland is to pay certain expenses of the Ombudsman.
Article 3 provides that Audit Scotland is to make arrangements for the provision of offices and other accommodation for the Ombudsman.
Article 4 provides that the Order, unless it is previously revoked, shall cease to have effect on 31st December 2003.
