Precautions against fire
14.—(1) The compressed air contractor shall ensure that there is provided in respect of work in compressed air any means for fighting fire pursuant to regulation 20 of the 1996 Regulations and that any airlock or working chamber is operated and maintained in such a manner as to minimise the risk of fire.
(2) A person shall not smoke or have with him any materials for the purpose of smoking when in compressed air.
(3) The compressed air contractor shall ensure compliance with paragraph (2).
