These Regulations amend the Education (Individual Pupils' Achievements) (Information) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995.
The Regulations make the following changes—
Regulation 3 and the Schedule requires schools to include in their reports to the parents of pupils in the final year of the third key stage the level of attainment achieved in English, Mathematics and Science both in assessments by a teacher and in tests set by the Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (“the Council”) in each of those subjects. It also requires them to report to the parents of all pupils in the final year of each of the first three key stages the percentage of pupils in each key stage in the school attaining each level in each subject, the percentage working towards the first level in each subject and the percentage exempted from assessment in each subject; in key stage 3 this information shall be shown separately for attainments determined in assessment by a teacher and determined in tests set by the Council.
Regulation 4 amends the heading under which certain information must be presented in the summative Record of Achievement.
