The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 33 of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:
1. These regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 20th February 1997.

2. A licence, other than an occasional licence (being in such form as may be prescribed by magistrates' courts rules), shall be in the form set out in the Schedule.

Licence for the Sale of Intoxicating Liquor by Retail
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
These regulations prescribe the form of licence (other than an occasional licence), which is issued by a court and authorises the retail sale of intoxicating liquor under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 which came into operation on 20th February 1997.
These regulations revoke and replace the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1990.
