Overview

6.The Act has 9 sections and 4 Schedules. The Act provides for the dissolution of the Regional Board while retaining Local Commissioning Groups, and place a duty on the Department to make regulations to establish bodies for local areas. In addition, it provides for the transfer of the Regional Board functions and requires the Department to make transfer schemes for assets and staff. It also makes the necessary transitional provision. Finally, it contains an interpretation section, makes provision for commencement and sets out the short title of the Act.
