Provisions coming into force on 25 March 2026

2.  The following provisions of the Act come into force on 25 March 2026—

(a) section 22(2) (contracting authorities);

(b) section 24(1) to (7) (socially responsible procurement duty);

(c) section 25(1) (socially responsible procurement duty: major construction contracts);

(d) section 26(1) (socially responsible procurement duty: outsourcing services contracts);

(e) section 28 (social public works clauses in subcontracts);

(f) section 29 (social public works clauses: notifying the Welsh Ministers);

(g) section 30 (social public works clauses: Welsh Ministers’ response);

(h) section 31 (social public works clauses: Welsh Ministers’ contracts);

(i) section 34 (social public workforce clauses in subcontracts);

(j) section 35 (social public workforce clauses: notifying the Welsh Ministers);

(k) section 36 (social public workforce clauses: Welsh Ministers’ response);

(l) section 37 (social public workforce clauses: Welsh Ministers’ contracts);

(m) section 38 (procurement strategy);

(n) section 40 (contracts register), for all remaining purposes;

(o) section 41 (procurement investigations);

(p) Schedule 2 (socially responsible procurement objectives).
