Implementation of the Liability and Fund Conventions

2.  Sections 152 to 170(1) and 172 to 181 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Merchant Shipping Act 1995, subject to the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order, shall extend to the British Antarctic Territory; and any instrument made, or to be made, under section 152(2), 157(2), 172(2) or 176(5) shall also extend to the British Antarctic Territory.

Section 158(2) was amended and section 158(2A) was added, by section 29(1) and Schedule 6 paragraph 4 of the Merchant Shipping and Maritime Security Act 1997 (1997 c. 28).
