Interpretation of the Act

3.  In section 132(1) of the Act (interpretation)(1) after the definition of “dentist” there is inserted—

““the 1965 Directive” means Council Directive 65/65/EEC(2) of 26th January 1965 on the aproximation of provisions laid down by law, regulation or administrative action relating to medicinal products (as amended by Council Directive 89/341/EEC(3) and as it applies in accordance with Council Directives 75/319/EEC(4), 89/342/EEC(5), 89/343/EEC(6) and 89/381/EEC(7));

“the 1981 Directive” means Council Directive 81/851/EEC(8) of 28th September 1981 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to veterinary medicinal products (as amended by Council Directive 90/676/EEC(9));”.
