The National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007

Amendment of the principal Regulations

2.—(1) The principal Regulations are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 1(2) (citation, commencement and interpretation)(1)–

(a) omit the definition of “ophthalmic list”;

(b) in the definition of “Ophthalmic Services Regulations” for “1986” substitute “2006”(2); and

(c) omit the definition of “the 1989 Regulations”.

(3) In regulation 8(3)(e) (eligibility – supply of optical appliances)(3) for “2001” substitute “2007(4)”.

(4) In regulation 9(1) (issue of vouchers by ophthalmic medical practitioners and opticians) for “paragraph 10(3)” substitute “paragraph 14(6)”.

(5) In regulation 19 (redemption value of voucher for replacement or repair)(5)–

(a) in paragraph (1)(b) for “£49.20” substitute “£50.50”;

(b) in paragraph (3)(a) for “£12.70” substitute “£13.00”; and

(c) in paragraph (3)(b) for “£55.50” substitute “£57.00”.

(6) In Schedule 1 (voucher letter codes and face values supply and replacement)(6) in column 3 (face value of voucher) for each amount specified in column 1 of the table (old amount) substitute the amount specified in relation to it in column 2 of the table (new amount).
