91.—(1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (5), for a current system student, the “minimum level for the academic year” in regulation 90(d) is—
(a)[F1£4,725], in the case of a student in category A;
(b)[F2£8,543], in the case of a student in category B;
(c)[F3£7,271], in the case of a student in category C;
(d)[F4£6,099], in the case of a student in category D.
(2) Subject to paragraph (5), for a current system student where the academic year in question is the final year of a course other than an intensive course, the “minimum level for the academic year” in regulation 90(d) is—
(a)[F5£4,272], in the case of a student in category A;
(b)[F6£7,775], in the case of a student in category B;
(c)[F7£6,320], in the case of a student in category C;
(d)[F8£5,645], in the case of a student in category D.

(5) Where different categories apply for different quarters of the academic year, the minimum levels in paragraphs [F11(1) or (2)] are the aggregate of the amounts determined under paragraph (6) for each of the quarters in respect of which a loan is payable.
(6) The amount determined for each quarter is one third of the amount in paragraph [F12(1) or (2)] which corresponds to the rate applicable for the quarter.
(7) The rate applicable for a quarter is determined in accordance with regulation 72.
(8) Categories A to D have the meaning given in regulation 78.
