Article 2U.K.

Fishery products imported into [F2Great Britain] from the USA shall meet the requirements set out in Articles 3, 4 and 5.

Article 3U.K.

1.Each consignment shall be accompanied by a numbered original health certificate [F3in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time] and comprising a single sheet, duly completed, signed and dated.

2.The health certificate shall be drawn up in [F4English and may also include other languages].

3.The health certificate shall bear the name, capacity and signature of the representative of the FDA or of the NMFS-NOAA, and the latter’s official stamp in a colour different from that of the endorsements.

[F54.In this Article:

  • “appropriate authority” means the Secretary of State (in relation to England), the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales) and the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland); but the “appropriate authority” is the Secretary of State if consent is given by:

    (a)

    in relation to Wales, the Welsh Ministers;

    (b)

    in relation to Scotland, the Scottish Ministers.

  • “FDA” means the Food and Drug Administration;

  • “NMFS-NOAA” means the National Marine Fisheries Service — National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.]

Article 4U.K.

The fishery products shall come from approved establishments, factory vessels, cold stores or from registered freezer vessels listed in Annex II.

Article 5U.K.

All packages shall bear the word ‘USA’ and the approval/registration number of the establishment, factory vessel, cold store or freezer vessel of origin in indelible letters, except in the case of frozen fishery products in bulk and intended for the manufacture of preserved foods.

Article 6U.K.

This Decision shall apply from 24 April 2006.
