3.The Act comprises 46 sections and is divided into eight parts as follows—

Part 2 – Adult carer support plans and young carer statements
Part 3 – Provision of support to carers
Part 4 – Carer involvement
Part 5 – Local carer strategies
Part 6 – Information and advice for carers
Part 7 – General provision
Part 8 – Final provisions
4.The Act also includes one schedule setting out consequential modifications including repeals of other enactments.
