PENSIONS

These Regulations are made before the expiry of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of the provisions of Part I of the Pensions Act 1995 (c. 26) (“the Act”) by virtue of which they are made. They are accordingly exempt from the requirement in section 120(2)(c) of the Act for the Secretary of State to consult such persons as he considers appropriate.

The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10(2)(b), 50(1), (2)(a), (3) and (7), 124(1) and 174(2) and (3) of the Pensions Act 19951, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, by this instrument, which is made before the end of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of the provisions of Part I of the Act by virtue of which they are made2 hereby makes the following Regulations:
