These Regulations, which apply only to Scotland;
revoke the Tetrachloroethylene in Olive Oil (Scotland) Regulations 1989, as amended which applied in Scotland; and
amend the Food Safety Act (Consequential Modifications) (Scotland) Order 1990 by removing the references to the Tetrachloroethylene in Olive Oil Regulations 1989.
The Tetrachloroethylene in Olive Oil Regulations 1989 made provision for the enforcement of Article 1 of Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 1860/88 on the establishment of special marketing standards for olive oil (O.J. No. L 166, 1.7.88, p.16). That Commission Regulation has now been revoked by Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 3009/91 (O.J. L 286, 16.10.91, p.19) and replaced by Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2568/91 (O.J. No. L 248, 5.9.91, p.1) enforcement of which is provided for in the Olive Oil Marketing Standards (Amendment) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/2590).
