| Police Scotland | The Police Service of Scotland (established by section 6 of the 2012 Act) In the 2012 Act, Police Scotland is referred to as the “Police Service” |

| Railway operator | A person (which in this context can include an individual, company or organisation) who has the management or control, or participation in the management or control of all or part or an aspect of a railway or railway property. (See section 1, inserted section 85M) |
