The Standardised Packaging of Tobacco Products Regulations 2015

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 M1 in relation to measures relating tobacco, tobacco products, nicotine, nicotine products and herbal products for smoking M2.
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 94 and 135(2) and (3) of the Children and Families Act 2014 M3 and section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
A draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 135(6) of the Children and Families Act 2014 and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 M4.
Paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 was amended by section 27(2)(a) of the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006.
