The Registrar General, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 74(1)(a) of the Marriage Act 19491 and sections 8(2), 9E(1), 12(2), 21(2), 36(1), 36(2)(a) and (3), and 258(2) of the Civil Partnership Act 20042, and with the approval of the Secretary of State3, makes the following Regulations:
