E1Act's amending/repealing provisions are co-extensive with the enactments they affect see s. 148(4)
11(1)In subsection (1) of section 20A of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (limitation of service charges: grant-aided works), for the words from “Part XV" to “conversion)" substitute “ section 523 of the Housing Act 1985 (assistance for provision of separate service pipe for water supply) or any provision of Part I of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (grants, &c. for renewal of private sector housing) or any corresponding earlier enactment ”.U.K.
(2)In subsection (2) of that section—
(a)for “Part VIII of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989" substitute “ Part I of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 ”; and
(b)for “the outstanding balance determined in accordance with subsections (3) and (4) of section 130 of that Act" substitute “ the balance of the cost determined in accordance with section 69(3) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 ”.
