Where a condition provides for a “relevant approval” this means an approval given by the local planning authority in writing.

Where the local planning authority is in receipt of a request for a relevant approval and it considers it has not been provided with sufficient information to determine whether to give the relevant approval, it must notify the applicant of the further information or documents that it requires.

The local planning authority may grant the relevant approval unconditionally or subject to conditions and the development must be carried out in accordance with any conditions specified.
