Subject to article 8, this article applies to a child who on 1 September 2021 has identified special educational needs and to whom article 5 or 6 did not apply.

The new law applies in relation to the child at the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

The old law ceases to apply in relation to the child at the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
