This is the third commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 (“the 2021 Act”).
Article 2 of this Order brings the following provisions of the 2021 Act into force on 1 May 2021, so far as those provisions are not already in force—
(a)section 47 (arrangements and conditions for persons who are not in the same place to attend local authority meetings);
(b)section 49 (notices etc. of local authority meetings);
(c)Schedule 4 (notice of local authority meetings, access to documents and consequential amendments relating to attendance at such meetings).
Article 3 makes transitional provision for any notice or other document published or sent before 1 May 2021 which relates to a meeting held on or after 1 May 2021.
