The Welsh Ministers make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(2)(b) of the Fire Safety Act 2021(1).
Title
1. The title of these Regulations is the Fire Safety Act 2021 (Commencement) (Wales) Regulations 2021.
Provision coming into force on 1 October 2021
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 1 of the Fire Safety Act 2021 is 1 October 2021.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations bring into force section 1 of the Fire Safety Act 2021 (“the Act”) in relation to premises in Wales.
Section 1 of the Act makes amendments to article 6 (application to premises) of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/1541). Section 4 of the Act contains the commencement provisions.
