The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 125 and 203(9) and (10) of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 M1.

2.  In regulation 4 of the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 M2 (calculation of charges)—

(a)in paragraph (1), for “£14.00” substitute “ £14.30 ”;

(b)in paragraph (2), for “£45.00” substitute “ £46.00 ”;

(c)in paragraph (3), for “£195.00” substitute “ £199.10 ”;

(d)in paragraph (4), for “£195.00” substitute “ £199.10 ”; and

(e)in paragraph (5), for “£14.00” substitute “ £14.30 ”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/491 (W. 60)) (“the 2006 Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations (calculation of charges) by increasing the applicable charge payable for a Band 1, a Band 2 and a Band 3 course of treatment.

The Welsh Ministers' Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
