The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 125 and 203(9) and (10) of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 M1 .

Title and commencement E+W

1.  The title of these Regulations is the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and they come into force on 1 April 2019.

Amendment to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 E+W

2.  In regulation 4 of the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 M2 (calculation of charges)—

(a) in paragraph (1), for “£14.00” substitute “ £14.30 ”;

(b) in paragraph (2), for “£45.00” substitute “ £46.00 ”;

(c) in paragraph (3), for “£195.00” substitute “ £199.10 ”;

(d) in paragraph (4), for “£195.00” substitute “ £199.10 ”; and

(e) in paragraph (5), for “£14.00” substitute “ £14.30 ”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/491 (W. 60)) (“the 2006 Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations (calculation of charges) by increasing the applicable charge payable for a Band 1, a Band 2 and a Band 3 course of treatment.

The Welsh Ministers' Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
