Title and commencement1.

The title of these Regulations is the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) (Amendment) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2019.

These Regulations come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.
Amendment of the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 20192.
Amendment of regulation 63.
In the Welsh language text of regulation 6 (amendment of Schedule 1), in paragraph (13), after “chwynnog,” insert “ neu”.
Amendment of regulation 74.
In regulation 7 (insertion of Schedule 1A)—
(a)
in the Welsh language text of the inserted text of paragraph 3, for “(e) enw cyffredin” substitute “(dd) enw cyffredin”,
(b)
in the inserted text of paragraph 15(c), for “14(f)” substitute “14(1)(g)”, and
(c)
in the Welsh language text of the inserted text of paragraphs 22(a) and 24(1)(a), omit “amgylcheddol”.
These Regulations amend the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/1316 (W. 228)) (“the 2019 Regulations”).
Regulation 3 makes a minor amendment to the Welsh language text of regulation 6 of the 2019 Regulations to effect equivalence with the English language text.
Regulation 4 makes amendments to regulation 7 of the 2019 Regulations, to correct a cross-reference and effect equivalence between the English and Welsh language texts.
The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
