The Welsh Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 30(2) of the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 20191.

Title and interpretation1.

(1)

The title of this Order is the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2019.

(2)

In this Order, “the Act” means the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order is the first commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 (“the Act”).

Article 2 of this Order commences certain provisions of the Act on 1 September 2019. Sections 30 and 31 come into force on the day after the Act receives Royal Assent.
