<Title>EXPLANATORY NOTE</Title>
<P><Text Hanging="indented">This Order amends the Velindre National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 (“the principal Order”) in order to change the name of Velindre National Health Service Trust to Velindre University National Health Service Trust.</Text></P>
<P><Text Hanging="indented">As Velindre National Health Service Trust will now have a significant teaching commitment, the Order specifies this and further amends the principal Order to prescribe that one of the non-executive directors must be appointed from Cardiff University.</Text></P>
