These Regulations are made under section 124(2) and (3) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 (“the Act”). They are the first Regulations which bring specified provisions of the Act into force in relation to Wales.

Regulation 2 provides that sections 88 and 89(2)(h)(ii) and (4) of the Act come into force on 1 April 2018.
