The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 (Isles of Scilly Modification) Regulations 2018

Coming into force
The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 197(7) of the Social Services Well-being (Wales) Act 20141.

Title and commencement1.

(1)

The title of these Regulations is the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 (Isles of Scilly Modification) Regulations 2018.

(2)

These Regulations come into force on 4 February 2019.

Application of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 with modification2.

(1)

The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 has effect with the modification in paragraph (2).

(2)

Any reference to a “local authority in England”2 is to be treated as if it included reference to the Council of the Isles of Scilly.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make a modification to the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, so that the Council of the Isles of Scilly is treated as a local authority in England for the purposes of that Act.

The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of the Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
