The Public Health (Wales) Act 2017 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2018

The Welsh Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 126(2) of the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017(1), make the following Order:

Title and interpretation

1.—(1) The title of this Order is the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2018.

(2) In this Order, “the Act” (“y Ddeddf”) means the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017.

Provisions coming into force on 1 February 2018

2.  The appointed day for the following provisions of the Act coming into force is 1 February 2018—

(a)Part 5 (intimate piercing); and

(b)section 94 (interpretation) for the purpose of Part 5.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order made by the Welsh Ministers brings into force specified provisions of the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017 (“the Act”).

Article 2 brings provisions of the Act relating to the intimate piercing of children into force on 1 February 2018.
