Title and commencement 1 The title of these Regulations is the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and they come into force on 1 April 2014. Amendment to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 2 In regulation 4 of the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 (calculation of charges)— a in paragraph (1), for “£12.70” substitute “£13.00”; b in paragraph (2), for “£41.10” substitute “£42.00”; c in paragraph (3), for “£177.00” substitute “£180.90”; d in paragraph (4), for “£177.00” substitute “£180.90”; and e in paragraph (5), for “£12.70” substitute “£13.00”. Revocation 3 The National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 are revoked. These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/491 (W.60)) (“the 2006 Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations (calculation of charges) by increasing the applicable charge payable for a Band 1, a Band 2 and a Band 3 course of treatment.

The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, a regulatory impact assessment has been prepared as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
