The Leasehold Valuation Tribunals (Fees) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014
Title, commencement and application1.

The title of these Regulations is the Leasehold Valuation Tribunals (Fees) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and they come into force on 10 March 2014.

These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

In regulation 8(1) (waiver and reduction of fees)—
(a)
at the end of sub-paragraph (e), delete “or”;
(b)
remove the full stop at the end of sub-paragraph (f); and
(c)
“; or
(g)
universal credit.”

The Welsh text of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunals (Fees) (Wales) Regulations 2004 is amended in accordance with paragraph (4).

In regulation 8(1) (hepgor a lleihau ffioedd)—

at the end of sub-paragraph (ch) delete “neu”;
(b)
at the end of sub-paragraph (d)(ii) replace the full stop with a semi-colon; and
(c)

These Regulations make amendments to the English and Welsh text of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunals (Fees) (Wales) Regulations 2004 (S.I. 2004/683) as a result of the introduction of universal credit by Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012.
Regulation 8 is amended so as allow the receipt of universal credit to be taken into account when determining whether a tribunal fee may be waived.
Some minor amendments are also made to the Welsh text of the Regulations so as to align both English and Welsh texts.
