The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 12(3) of the Healthy Eating in Schools (Wales) Measure 2009(1), make the following Order:
Title
1. The title of this Order is the Healthy Eating in Schools (Wales) Measure 2009 (Commencement) Order 2013.
Appointed day
2. The appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Healthy Eating in Schools (Wales) Measure 2009 is —
(a)8 August 2013 for section 4; and
(b)2 September 2013 for sections 1 to 3 and 5 to 11.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force the Healthy Eating in Schools (Wales) Measure 2009 (“the 2009 Measure”).
This order brings section 4 of the 2009 Measure into force on 8 August 2013. This will enable the Welsh Ministers to make regulations about food and drink provided in schools maintained by local authorities in Wales.
This Order also brings sections 1 to 3 and 5 to 11 of the 2009 Measure into force on 2 September 2013.
