Paragraph 1(c) of Schedule 2 does not apply in the case of persons who commenced a course of initial teacher training in Wales prior to 1 September 2008 and had not been notified in writing that they were qualified teachers under regulation 6 of the 2004 Regulations on or before 31 March 2012.
