Where a head teacher, school teacher or unattached teacher has completed or is part-way through an appraisal cycle under the provisions of the 2002 Regulations, any appraisal review meeting in respect of that appraisal cycle that is due under the provisions of the 2002 Regulations after the date that these Regulations come into force, may be conducted by the appraiser or appraisers (as appropriate) appointed in respect of that head teacher, school teacher or unattached teacher under the provisions of these Regulations (“the new appraisers”), if the new appraisers elect to do so. Such appraisal review meeting may be subject to the provisions of regulations 15(5), 29(5) and 42(5) (as appropriate) at the discretion of the new appraisers.
