Food enforcement responsibilities and competent authority status E+W

24.—(1) It is the responsibility of each food authority to execute and enforce the Import Provisions in its area in relation to food.

(2) The food authority is designated as the competent authority for the purposes of the provisions of [F1 Regulation 2019/1793] in so far as those provisions apply in relation to relevant food law.

(3) A food authority's designation as a competent authority pursuant to paragraph (2) extends to its area only.
