The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 75 and 104(1) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 19911, and now vested in them2, make the following regulations:

Title, commencement and application

The title of these Regulations is the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. They come into force on 1 April 2008 and apply in relation to Wales.

Amendment to regulation 3 (inspection fees)

The Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Wales) Regulations 20063 are amended in accordance with regulation 3.

In regulation 3, in paragraphs (1) and (8), for “£21.00” substitute “£25.00”.

These Regulations amend the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Wales) Regulations 2006 so as to increase the fee payable by undertakers for inspections of their work by street authorities in Wales under regulation 3 of those Regulations.

The fee originally prescribed in the 2006 Regulations was £21. The fee was last altered in June 2007, to £24 and is now increased to £25.
