The title of this Order is the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 (Consequential Amendments) (Wales) Order 2005 and comes into force on 25 October 2005.

The Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 received Royal Assent on 22 July 2004 and most of its provisions were commenced in Wales on 10th November 2004. This Order makes consequential amendments predominantly to secondary legislation in relation to Wales — in particular by updating existing references to “fire authorities”, “fire brigades” and “the Fire Services Act 1947”.
