After paragraph 9(a) of Schedule 1 to the Social Security Benefit (Computation of Earnings) Regulations 199639 (sums to be disregarded in the calculation of earnings), insert—

“(aa)

a part-time fire-fighter employed by a fire and rescue authority;”.
