These Regulations amend the Inspection of Education and Training (Wales) Regulations 2001 so as to — a provide for inspections of specific education or training to be carried out within six years from whichever is the earlier of — the date of the last inspection (under the Learning and Skills Act 2000 or the previous regime under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992), the establishment of a new institution, or 1 September 2004, and then within each six year period from the date of the last inspection; and b change the period within which an inspection report must be made to 70 working days in every case, and the period within which an action plan must be published to 50 working days in every case.
