Citation, interpretation and application 1 1 This Order may be cited as the Care Standards Act 2000 (Commencement No. 13) (Wales) Order 2004. 2 In this Order, a reference to a section is to a section of the Care Standards Act 2000. 3 This Order applies in relation to Wales. Appointed Day 2 1 April 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 8, 9(2) and (3), 10(2) to (7), 11 to 15, 17 to 21, 24, 26 to 32, 36 and 37 in so far as their provisions relate to domiciliary care agencies and are not already in force. 2000 c. 14. The power is exercisable by the appropriate minister. The “appropriate minister” is defined in section 121(1). In relation to Wales it means “the Assembly”. Section 5(b) defines “the Assembly” as the National Assembly for Wales. 1998 c. 38.
