In this regulation —

  • “regeneration project” means any project for the carrying out of works or activities on any land where —

    1. a

      the land, or a building on the land, is vacant, unused, under-used, ineffectively used, contaminated or derelict; and

    2. b

      the works or activities are carried out in order to secure that the land or the building shall be brought into effective use.

For the purposes of regulation 12(1)(c), the undertaking of a regeneration project on land situated within the area of the local authority is a specified project.
