These Regulations, which come into force on 27th February 2002, amend the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/1673) to make provision in relation to Wales to give effect to—
article 4 of Commission Decision 2002/153/EC (OJ No. L50, 21.2.2002, p.98), concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, repealing Decision 2001/740/EC and amending for the eighth time Decision 2001/327/EC; and
Commission Decision 2001/327/EC concerning restrictions to the movement of animals of susceptible species with regard to foot-and-mouth disease (OJ No. L115, 25.4.2001, p. 12).
A Regulatory Appraisal has not been prepared for these Regulations.
