Enwi, cychwyn a dehongli

1.—(1) Enw'r Gorchymyn hwn yw Gorchymyn Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen (Newidiadau Etholiadol) 2002.

(2) Daw'r Gorchymyn hwn i rym:

(a)at ddibenion achosion, sy'n arwain at unrhyw etholiad neu'n ymwneud ag unrhyw etholiad sydd i'w gynnal ar 6 Mai 2004, ar 9 Hydref 2003, a

(b)at bob diben arall, ar 6 Mai 2004.

(3) Yn y Gorchymyn hwn —

  • ystyr “y Ddeddf” (“the Act”) yw Deddf Llywodraeth Leol 1972;

  • ystyr “adran etholiadol” (“electoral division”) yw un o adrannau etholiadol Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen fel y'i sefydlwyd gan Orchymyn Trefniadau Etholiadol Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen 1994(1);

Adrannau etholiadol

2.—(1) Mae adrannau etholiadol presennol Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen a bennir yn yr Atodlen i Orchymyn Trefniadau Etholiadol Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen 1994 wedi'u diddymu.

(2) At ddibenion ethol cynghorwyr ar gyfer Bwrdeistref Sirol Tor-faen, rhennir y fwrdeistref sirol honno yn 24 o adrannau etholiadol yn dwyn yr enwau a bennir yng ngholofn (1) o'r Atodlen i'r Gorchymyn hwn, a bydd pob adran etholiadol o'r fath yn ffurfio'r ardal a bennir yng ngholofn (2) o'r Atodlen honno.

(3) Y nifer a bennir mewn perthynas â'r adran yng ngholofn (3) o'r Atodlen i'r Gorchymyn hwn fydd y nifer o gynghorwyr sydd i'w hethol ar gyfer pob adran etholiadol o'r fath.

3.  Rhaid i'r swyddog cofrestru wneud unrhyw ad-drefniadau neu addasiadau i'r gofrestr o etholwyr llywodraeth leol sy'n angenrheidiol am fod y Gorchymyn hwn yn dod i rym.
