Restrictions on movements to slaughter houses E+W

4.  It shall not be lawful for any person—

(a) to move any animal to a slaughterhouse save for the purpose of slaughter within 48 hours of its arrival there; or

(b) to receive any animal from a slaughterhouse unless, in the case of an animal other than a pig, this is under the authority of a licence issued by a veterinary inspector.
